A few questions about usage of our Arlo Pro cameras in relation to the recent EOL announcement. We have the VMB4000R3 base and VNC4030 cameras (2 of them). We use the web portal/app (library) to see thumbnails/recorded videos without subscription. We are backing up the captured video to a USB storage device. We can remove the USB storage and see the recordings (MP4 files)

Questions:

a) Is it correct that the web portal/app will continue to work after the EOL (however without cloud storage, no library functionality)?

b) If the web portal/app works after EOL will it show battery status? If not, how will we know the charge level?

c) The Arlo website shows the Smart Base Stations (i.e. VMB4050) are compatible with the Pro cameras. However, the user guides shows that the storage media needs to be removed, to view the images on a separate device as video files. Several people on this forum say that the files can be viewed from the smart base station without removing the media to a separate device. Anybody reviewed the files on the smart base stations (storage not separated)? How is that done since there is nothing in the user guide about it?

The EOL policy indicates you will have live streaming from the camera.

No mention of loosing battery status from the app but you will loose email notifications which include low battery warnings. Loosing push notifications to your mobile app is not mentioned.

Only the VMB4540 and 5000 support in app access to storage recordings to download to the mobile for viewing. No thumbnails, not available on web portal, not shareable to friends accounts.
