Receiving too many double alerts on phone

My arlo will detect movement and send me 2 messages each time. This weekend alone I recieved 64 messages. I cleared the cache on my phone, deleted and reinstalled the app and it will not stop sending me double alerts. Driving me and the dogs nuts. My husband starts his truck in the morning, 2 alerts, goes out to leave, two more alerts. How to fix it?

I don't have the exact step by step instructions on me right now, but basically you have to uninstall the arlo app, turn off and delete google backup, turn off and delete samsung backup if you have it. Restart the phone. Install arlo app and log in. Choose your sound for arlo again in the app. Turn google and samsung backup back on.

The key is turning off and deleting the google / samsung backups. If you don't, upon reinstall, all your settings come back from backup which brings the double notification back.
