Older video is not in library while USB installed

I did not choose to upgrade to the SMART.  I rather chose to install a 250G USB drive in the base unit.  It had been keeping an entire month on the library.  I have had this unit for say 6 months...Starting yesterday it is all gone and only 7 days is visible.  Why?

Can you reiterate some of these details? Are you saying that you previously had the basic plan & now have a smart subscription?
