After a recent update when I receive a camera notification it no longer specifies the camera location like it used to. I didn’t change any settings and I looked through all the settings could not seem to figure it out. Does anyone know how to make it so that when you get a camera notification on iPhone it states which specific camera is detecting motion?  Thank you

Hi @Ashrae3

Are you still experiencing this symptom?

May I ask which troubleshooting steps you have tried so far? I don't want to suggest anything you have previously performed.

Yes I am still having the issue. I have updated my app. Restarted my phone. Turned off and on all cameras. Reset the hub. Looked through all my phone and Arlo settings. I’ve read a bunch online and I’m thinking maybe now you have to subscribe to a an actual plan and set it the “smart”

alerts to get the specific camera alert. However I just think that’s so crappy to take away a basic feature they’ve always have. Unless you know something different?

Are you referring to the smart notifications like animal people vehicle or are you referring to manually changing the name of your camera?

Just the iPhone notifications from the app that would pop up and it would say which camera was alerting i.e. “Garage motion”

Now it just gives a general notification for Arlo and doesn’t say which camera is triggering.

Have you tried changing the camera name again to test as well? do you have another device you can see how the notification appears there?
