Not getting notifications sounds from 2nd base station

I how no clue is to why iam not getting notifications sounds or notification pop ups from my 2nd base station, I do get the videos just not those sounds or pop ups. I get them on my other base with no problems and I have done all resets and reboots, remove cameras and also re-did the app as I thought the new app update would fix it but it didn't. Iam on Android 9 oreo but it has worked in the past. I don't understand why its just the 2nd base station.

Did you check the mode rules on the second base (making sure notifications are enabled in the rules)?

Yes there enabled. This 2nd problem base is granted access to the 1st base and if I log in to the 2nd base all the sounds and pop up notifications work good in both custom and factory armed modes and if I log back into the main (1st base) with the granted access from the 2nd base the sounds and notifications wont work but I do get the videos so I think its a problem with the granted access base not pushing sounds or pop up notifications to the 1st base. All this started about 2 weeks ago.

I have found out that the default armed mode will send sounds and pop up notifications but the custom armed mode will not it will just send the videos to the library so its a problem with custom modes not sending sounds or notification pop ups threw granted access to the 1st base. As I said I recreated custom armed modes 3 times or more with no help.

Are notifications sent to the primary account holder when that mode is in use?

 

Is the mode using email notifications or push notifications?

The 2nd problem base is sending the videos only to the primary base library with no pop up or sound notifications under custom armed mode but when I select factory armed mode it does send the sounds and pop up notifications along with the videos. The custom and factory mode have the push notifications selected, don't have e-mail selected because I don't wish to have them. Thank you for trying to help me.

 

I deleated the custom armed 3 or more times and rebuilt the mode to no avail but if I log into the 2nd problem base the custom mode works fine so I think it has something to do with custom modes sounds and pop up notifications not being pushed to the primary base.

You don't log into a base, you log into an account.

 

It sounds like you have two accounts set up (one for each base) - perhaps because you are using the free basic subscription, but have more than five cameras?

 

If so, you must have used "grant access" to allow access to the cameras on the other account.  Did you also enable "Allow access rights"?  If not, you might try that and see if anything changes.

 

But if you 

  • get push notifications when the base is "armed" with the secondary account
  • get push notifications when the base is in the custom mode with the primary account
  • don't get push notifications when the base is in the custom mode writh the secondary account

then it sounds like you might have run into a bug.  @JamesC - is this a known problem?

Its a bug as everything is good on my end it started with the new app, 2nd base granted to primary and access rights. Armed mode on 2nd problem base works like it should custom mode does not. Trigger and record for 2 cameras. Back deck trigger and record and record on back of house also and vice versa. Been set up this way for years and no problems.

 

I have been wanting to upgrade to the Arlo pro 2 so I did it today man what a difference in the picture quality from the regular pros, Best buy had the 4 camera system on sale for $399.99 so I bough 2 of them it was cheaper to buy the whole kit then to buy each camera, I set the system up and wouldn't you know it the bug followed the base as its the same problem for custom modes armed mode works great like they should. 

 

I just found out today the custom mode was working like it should for a little bit then it stopped and the problem came back. Maybe give this to JamesC and JessicaP. to report it.

If I am not mistaken, this only occurs with the granted access account when logging in?

Yes Shayne that's right, I upgraded to the Arlo pro2 this past weekend and the problem was still the same on the Pro 2 system with the base granted access to the primary base (app) but for some reason it was working good yesterday and today but it has done that before then the problem came back. Factory Armed mode works good its just when you have a custom mode, example camera 1 triggers motion and records then records video to camera 1 and 2. I did notice night vision is not as good on the pro 2 as the pro 1.

Yes,  armed mode works like it should also but I will say if iam logged into the 2nd base it works like it should it seems not to push sounds or notifications to the primary base but the primary will get the videos.

 

For some reason it has been working good since Monday and there are no problems right now. I want to thank you for your reply's in trying to help and understand.
