Night mode flashes on and off

Arlo pro. H8 Firmware says it’s up to date.

problem is, in a dark room, completely dark. The video flashes between dark and white in night mode. No night mode, the dark video is presented as expected. If night mode is on the video alternates between white and black every second or so...

I noticed this first when camera was outside and when it detected movement I’d see the clear video of night vision then a flash of white as though it was overexposed, and then back to the useable video...every second, back and forth...so that is why I tried it again in a dark room. The same flashing back and forth with no motion...

seems to me the camera is broke..

help?

Sounds that way to me too.  If you haven't removed/reinserted the battery, you should try that before replacing it.
