I've had my system up and running for about 5 days.  This morning my camera #1 says that it is not connected to the internet.  Ok, now what?  Do I go to the shed, get my 8 foot ladder out and climb up and remove the camera, bring it inside to re-sync it to the base station?  Then climb back up remount and align the camera again?  I paid too much money for this to be happening.  If this continues, Net Gear will be getting this system back!

Update:  I chatted online with Support Specialist "Marie".

She told me to remove the battery of the camera that had gone offline...wait one minute, and re-inset it.

Now it's working fine.  The weather dropped into the 30's last night...who knows, maybe that caused the problem.

Anyways.....let's see how things go from here on out.  I will say this....Marie waited online for me until I was done, and everything was working.  That tells me a lot about Net Gear and their excellence in Customer Service!  Thanks!  Kudos :).

2 of my 5 Pro cameras (about 2 weeks old) did that today.

I removed the battery and put it back in to reboot and things are working again.

Hopefully this is not a frequent occurence.  BTW- temperatures here have been in the 60-70s.

Hey there Plasmo...

Thanks for your reply.  Thank goodness we both got our cameras back in operation.  What bothers me is....,why did this happen.....and will this happen again and again in the future?  We both know how expensive this system was, and we shouldn't be experiencing something simple like this to begin with.

Why did we need to remove the battery(s) and restart the cameras in the first place?

I keep my 8 foot ladder out back in a shed.  My cameras are mounted outside and up high, so this is a struggle if I have to continuously have to do this on occasion.  Let's keep out fingers crossed :).

Thanks!!!

If the camera is struggling to maintain a connection to the base station due to poor WiFi signal strength, that could explain why the camera dropped offline. What does the WiFi signal strength indicator show for the affected camera?

How do you check the signal? Thanks.

The easy way is to use the app or browser to view the strength both in the Devices tab as well as in Settings, My Devices, your camera. It's not as precise as using a WiFi analyzer app but it's a good start.

Both cameras that I had to reset, have full Wifi signal at their locations
