Had a power surge and now the base station won't power up! It is connected to a surge protector and there seems to be power at the plugin end of the adaptor. I have tried the reset, on/off switch and no lights!

Do you have another 12v adapter that you can plug into the base to test it?

Do you have another 12v appliance that you can test the adapter with?

Need to determine of its the adapter or the base that's gone faulty.

Have you tried bypassing the surge protector just to test?

I did check the adaptor with a tester and there was power there

Also, I tried another adapter that I know works and still nothing!

If I have to replace this base station I noticed that it is discontinued. Do you by any chance know what  can replace it with?

All the newer bases would support your existing cameras.

The current bases are the VMB4500, VMB4540, and VMB5000.  The latter two are "smart hubs" - I'd suggest one of those two.

Pretty much any of the newer ones will work.
