Motion recording every 3 minutes after firmware update on 04/23/20

So every spring I dust off my arlo, put fresh batteries in it and put it outside for the summer to keep an eye on our backyard. Last year it worked perfectly.  Today after completing the usual steps pairing my camera to its base and the new firmware update my camera keeps recording every 3 minutes. This also happened 2 years ago although that was every minute. Last year perfect working order. I am convinced it is the update but what can I do? Yes, rebooting, repairing does not work. Sigh...my batteries will get eaten up way too fast now.

Have you tried removing and resyncing the cameras?
