Motion detected nonstop

Just set up (quite easy) and worked great all day however once it got dark and night vision kicked in it detects false motion every minute nonstop. Tried reducing sensitivity and brightness to no avail. No obvious reflection or any exposure to street lights etc. Any thoughts?
