Just purchased the Arlo Pro (3 cameras plus base station) from Costco.  I can't figure out how to have 2 cameras armed (record when motion detected) while 3 third camera remains off (standby)?  It seems that when I add a new mode I can only associate one camera to the mode and it doesn't appear to allow running 2 modes or multiple modes at a time. Am I missing something?

One other question:  I have a SSD 150 gig connected to USB1 and properly formatted and working.  What happens if I connect another drive to the second USB?  Does the camera recording goto USB1 until full and then goto USB2?

Thanks for any help, I'm a newbee.

You're halfway there.  Yes, when you create a new mode, only one camera rule is added. Simply reedit the mode so you can add additional cameras.  Remember that any camera that does not have a rule is disarmed.  There are also complete directions in the FAQs here.

For the USB drives, I believe that the answer is yes, when the first drive fills the recording keeps going on the second drive.  I haven't tested this so haven't seen exactly what shows up when installing the second drive but I'd expect that the interface either gives you the option to fall over to the second drive or that it just does it automatically.

BTW, use of large drives is usually overkill.  I have a 16GB thumb drive that holds at least a month's worth of video which is of 100-200 videos a day, 400-800MB per day.  I find that thumb drives are easier to remove and replace due to their size and lack of external power needs.
