What is the max distance I can keep the camera from the router

In the threoretical world about 300ft

In the real world, it depends on what the wifi signal must travel thru ( shreetrock, concrete, metal duc work, mirrors , etc )

Overall, it's prob between 30 and 100 ft

( had one out to 150+ft but thru one wall )

There is no single answer. If your Arlo signal strength meter is low get a cheap range extender with an rj45 jack and relocate the base.
