It is not possible to mount the camera with a rigid threaded screw mount AND attach a solar panel. The receiver for a threaded mount is to close to the receiver for the solar panel cable. Anyone have a solution?

If you're talking about the VMA1000 mount, they replaced the plastic collar screw with a small one about a year ago I think. Perhaps you can get your swapped or contact support

or pull off the large plastic lock wheel and replace with a 1/4-20 nut  ( much smaller )
