Image are not clear

The images on my new Arlo Pro are not clear.  I can read license plate numbers in daylight up to about 20 ft, but no further.  Is this normal? 

Resolution setting is "Best Video".

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the camera and base station.

Camera firmware is 1.090.0.1_11011

Base firmware is 1.8.2.4_10232.

Yes, it is about normal.... the Pro is 720 rez and has an field of view at 130 degress....

Because the view is wide you not going to see plates well at distance.
