If leaving power adapter constantly plugged in the camera, does battery need to remain installed?

does anyone know if leaving an arlo power adapter constantly plugged in the camera does the battery need to remain installed!

Battery in or out doesn't matter other than leaving it in will allow the camera to keep working in a power outage. Of course, having a UPS on your network and base would make that useful.
