I would like to know the microphones recording range and is there any way of extending that range e.g if Mac's range of detection and recording of sound is 23feet can't it be extended so it does 25 - 30 feet away? Where can I get formal specs on this? Thank you. Cheers.

Motion can be detected up to 25 feet; while audio detection will be similar, the environment plays a large role in the audio detection. Increasing or decreasing audio sensitivity in the rules for the camera as needed for the specific environment is the best way to dial in audio detection.
