I have 3x pro 4 and 1x pro 3 cameras - can I use a repeater on my wifi and still record to the hub?

Title says it

I have 3x pro 4 cameras and 1x pro 3 camera.

I currently don't have a smarthub and can therefore only stream - the cloud service storage is not available in my country.

my issues are:
I want to store my footage
I need to set up a repeater as two of my cameras are out of range of my wifi

Can I get the stream through my wifi into the smart hub (as in - can I record to the smarthub through my router), or do the cameras connect to the hub directly on their own wifi (which would mean I'd still have range problems) - I don't want to buy two hubs.

Could I set up my own NAS on my wifi and store the footage in that server after I set up a repeater?

Thanks in advance.

The cameras would need to be paired to the hub, not WiFi, for local recordings to work. Use of either the VMB4540 or VMB5000 allows the app to access the recordings - older models record but you have to unmount the drive for viewing on a computer monthly.

No, a NAS can't be used directly since every one I know of uses USB only for importing existing files. You would need to download the videos  and then upload them to the NAS. I unmount my local storage from the hubs and use my laptop to upload to my NAS.

No.  Arlo doesn't have that feature (would be very nice if they did).

Again, no.  The camera needs to be connected to the smarthub closed wifi network in order to get local storage.  So it looks like you will need a second base.  If you can get ethernet to the appropriate location for the second base, you won't need a wifi extender.
