You set up "arrive" and "leave" automations in the the routines section.

 

The feature is buggy - my own system often misses my arrival, others have reported that theirs misses when they leave as well.

 

There are several discussion threads on how to set this up.  The basic idea is that the "Leave" automation switches  the mode to "Arm Away" when you leave, and "Arrive" switches it back to either "Arm Home" or "Standby" when you return.  "Leave" is enabled in both "Arm Home" and "Standby"; "Arrive" is enabled only in "Arm Away":
