Geo fencing not automatic

Wondering why I need to open the arlo app for it to switch into armed once I leave my house and again when I return to disarm, can it be changed to do so automatically?

You must be logged in to the app and the app must be running in order for Geofencing to update and change modes based on location.

If you have any power saving settings enabled for your device, this also could cause problems with Geofencing.

I feel like the geofencing feature should turn on automatically without me having to open the app. It doesn't save that much time from opening the app and arming the cameras manually

If the app is sleeping due to battery optimization settings in the phone you will likely have this problem. As long as you don't actually log out of the app, it's still running in the background. Power savings settings can alter the desired behavior, though.
