When motion is detected on any camera, I instantly receive an alert notification on my mobile phone app to view the alert, however, about 4-6 hours later, I receive the email alert. Why is this delay happening on the email side? I want to be able to push that email via a rule in Outlook to people without access to the app so that they are notified as I see fit. For instance, if I am away overseas and without data on my mobile I would want to be able for real time notifications to be sent to a family member or friend via email. A delay of six hours does nothing to notify them of a possible crime or other event captured until it is too late. Any help on tyhis would be greatly appreciated.

Why you get an email so much later , I have no idea.   It may be on your providers side.

You could try another mail provider ( like change from yahoo to gmail ) to test.

BTW, alert ( pushes ) are sent with the trigger event so are faster, the emails go out after the video is done and uploaded to the Netgear servers

I usu see less than 30 seconds plus after the amount of record time
