I wanted to use the 50% off EOL "I'm sorry" discount to upgrade our cameras that will no longer be supported but I don't know if I need to upgrade my base station and because I don't have a subscription I'm not "entitled" to talk to a live agent. So now I have no idea how to figure this out. I have Arlo Pro cameras and the base station is a VMB4000.

Base station compatibility info is here:

The VMB4000 is compatible with all current Arlo cameras that can use a base.  Also, the newest cameras can connect directly to your home wifi.

However, one consideration is that the VMB4000 does not support direct access to local storage.  While your Pro cameras were sold with 7-day free cloud recording, the current cameras don't have that.  So you will need a subscription with the current cameras.

If you want the direct access to local storage feature, then you'd need to get a VMB4540 or VMB5000 smarthub.  Personally I'd go with the subscription instead, as the direct access feature has a lot of limitations (really not a good user experience).

Note the Pro cameras will continue to function after the EoL date, so there is no need to rush the upgrade.
