Delay in alarm and recording in Arlo Pro/Base Station use inside

Can I expect a 3 second delay in an alarm signal from the base station if motion is detected from an Arlo Pro camera used inside the house?  Will the video and alarm be triggered, even with the delay, if someone walks across a door opening within the camera field of view?

Yes.  The biggest issue with the lag in these cameras is positioning so motion is detected easily.  Make sure the motion is across the FOV, not directly at the camera.
