Is there any reason why I have to pay shipping costs to replace a defective arlo pro camera that was part of a brand new package of 3 that I bought from Costco? Shouldn’t the shipping costs be covered by Netgear since the camera should have tested to ensure it worked before it was packaged and sold?

Defects happen at any time, including after shipping and installation. I do agree that the shipping costs shouldn't be ours. Ask for the fee to be waived - that sometimes works.
