Connect USB drive to Arlo Pro Base Station

I would like to connect a usb drive to my base station.  Does the base station have enough power to run the usb drive or do I need to connect a drive that has a separate power source?

If using a hard drive, use the external power supply for it. I'd strongly recommend a 16GB or 32GB thumb drive instead since it's much smaller and easier to remove and reinsert if needed. And no power supply.
