Hi. Is there a way to keep cameras on in cold weather with using only power? I'm sure they turn off to protect the batteries but I have them removed. It gets cold here and kind of frustrating when they aren't working as soon as the temp drops. Thanks
What temps are you talking about.... I recently tested a PRO in my freezer and the camera kept running till it hit -4F
( which btw, is its design limit by specs )

Well yes, -20c is the same as -4F...and that is the spec low op temps.
BTW, can you confirm the PRO turned off with out the battery pak installed? I ran mine in the freezer without the pack at -4F and it was working fine.
maybe more testing is needed.
And, you are right... testing here with the ARLO cameras using li-ion batteries ( 16340 cells ) the camera continued to operate below that temp.
Only thing I noticed was the lower level of battery voltage but it was still running fine at -10F ( -23c for you )
And that's as low as I could go 🙂
If your not worried about warranty...there is a good thread on ac power for the Arlos... do a search.

I know it does state that that's it's operating temperature but think that should only apply when the battery is in. Maybe there's a wire to a sensor that could be disconnected? Would be willing to give up warranty on a camera to try if I knew what to look for haha
