Cannot get Arlo Pro Cameras to Sync with Base after reset

I had to reset my arlo base (delete it from the app, hold the factory reset, then successfully added it again no issue), and now I cannot sync my arlo pro cameras. I have tried to manually sync them by pressing the sync on the base and sync on the camera, additionally, have tried to go through the add process on the app and website as well. I get a blue flashing light on the camera that eventually turns into a fast red blink and then no light. Nothing works!

 

These are expensive cameras. What can be done here???

I read on this forum that changing to a 1 or 6 channel of your 2.4ghz frequency works, and sure enough I disabled 5ghz and put my router on channel 6, and the camera actually sync'd. Crazy to think this would be an issue but worth a try in case anyone else gets stuck.
