I had just purchased the Arlo pro 3 wire free cameras. There is a good 5-8 second delay when viewing video and using audio two way talk. I am curious if others experience same issue and does it get better with Arlo pro 2? If yes I may consider upgrading atleast the cameras outside.

Yes you can sync a Pro 2 camera to the Pro base.
I have seen this issue reported on the Pro and the Pro 2. For some, like myself, with Pro's and Pro 2's I have no issues with push to talk and the typical cloud based system delay is just 2-3 seconds. But I have seen other who have the same issues as you. Lag and push to talk. I don't think the camera type matters. There is something else going on for the people who are experiencing these issue.
The upcoming Arlo Ultra is supposed to have superior sound (and I assume a better mic), so it's possible that camera will be better, but it doesn't come out for some time.
