Will my Arlo Pro camera with the battery removed work while connected directly to a USB port without using an adaptor? I read that the adaptor is needed to recharge the battery, what if it is removed? Thanks

Define "USB port" - on a computer? The issue is both voltage and current. If whatever you're plugging the camera into for power supplies 5v and somewhere around 2A, it should work. Dunno how many computer ports supply that much current from USB1 or 2 ports.

OK so was going to use a regular plug that you can buy that has USB ports included on it. How do I determine whether I have enough voltage and currant? What is the standard with those plugs? Thanks

5 vts @ 2 amps should be ok.  But look at your Arlo charger - it will have the voltage and amps listed, but might be hard to read.

There is some risk that you'll end up seeing an incompatible charger error.
