Cameras stop recording motion

hello, why are both my cameras only recording 10 to 16 sec and then turn off even if there is more movement? System is Arlo Pro VMB4000r3/H11 camera

Assuming you're using record until motion stops remember that the CAMERA has to detect the motion, not your eyes. Motion is best detected when side to side, not at the camera. DIstance is only up to 20-25 feet, depending on your motion detection settings in your modes and rules. A timed recording may be a better fit for your rules.

I can’t find the option : record until motion stops. There is still motion in the 20-25 foot range, but it stops recording after 10 to 16 seconds. It is set at 100%.

That option is in the camera modes and rules (old user interface that uses Library to view recordings) or in the camera settings under Default Mode Settings (if using the new UI that uses Feed for recordings) - you get to choose between that or a timed recording.
