Hello,

I've seen other posts on this topic and I have followed troubleshooting, but I still have the issue. I'm hoping someone can help me.

I have three (3) cameras set up. Two (2) are wireless, and one (1) is wired. The one that is wired will not record any motion triggered activities to my library. Here are all the details I can think of:

- Firmware 1.125.15.0_35_1191

- Hardware H3

- It used to work just fine up until about 3 weeks ago

- All wireless cameras are functioning perfectly

- Camera functions properly during motion test (Yellow LED blinks when I move)

- Camera will record manually if I force it to

- Camera "night vision" can be seen at night if I walk around under the camera

- I have no Geofencing set up

- I have no activity zones set up

- I have no rules set up

- I am using the standard "armed" status for my base station ; Actions are to send notification and record video if motion is detected

- All cameras are set up the EXACT same way except for wired wire vs wireless

- All cameras are "programed" the same way (device settings for the camera and base station)

Here is what I've tried so far for troubleshooting with no success:

- Removed device and added it back

- Unplugged device, removed device, plugged it back in, added it back

- Restarted base station

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can try?

Thank you!

Hello All,

I fixed the issue. In short, I just swapped the cameras. Here is what I did in detail:

1. Removed my wired device that was malfunctioning from the system

2. Unplugged the wired device from the power source

3. Took down a WIRELESS camera that was functioning properly

4. Removed battery from device that was functioning properly

5. Installed the device that was functioning properly in place of the one that was malfunctioning and plugged it in

6. Tested device and it worked perfectly

7. Put the battery in the device that malfunctioning and re-synced to the system

8. Tested device and it works fine

Very frustrating that I had to do this and it makes no sense to me why it worked. But at least it's fixed.

I hope this can help some of you that are having the same issue.

Good luck my friends.

Is there a difference if the camera is unplugged or if the battery is removed and plugged in? If nothing works, use the Contact Support link at the bottom here for a hardware problem.
