I have spent the night calling customer service. I am now on my third call and they keep asking me to start over. The camera does not work. it goes off line after one hour. it has done it 4 times. I removed it from the list and reinstalled it, i shut down my wifi and rebooted it, i charged the battery to 100%. the camera still fails yet there custoemr service continues to go step by step with me as if i never called. Frustrating as it is clear the camera has issues. full battery, strong wifi signal.
replace the camera or give me my money back but stop waisting my time. i have been on the phone with customer service for 2 hours over a camera that is 2 weeks old and has NEVER worked. they are clueless.

One of the mods here can escalate your ticket I'm sure. Are you still in your return window? Might be quicker to exchange at the store.

It would be faster and easier to just swap the system at the store rather than to beat your head against a brick wall. Support has a bad reputation at times.

Got Arlo pro two days ago one of the four cameras only stays on 5 min and shuts off,the said they would call or email 24 to 48 hours with details for replacement.(NOT HAPPY) Why do we wast are time calling them just to wait two days to get help! just my thoughts! if I sale you something my first priority is to keep a happy customer.on the edge of returning this.

Just got my system and went threw setup,I had one of my 4 cameras kicking off every 1 to 5 mins and called customer care and also did live chat,they confirmed it was bad and yes they thought they were helping me by first telling me it would take 1 to 2 days to give me a answer if they could help me. they cam back with this answer: we will swap it....
- For a warranty return or "SWAP" customers are responsible for the freight charges to NETGEAR. then they have a second option to swap them out BUT1BUT!
- Expedited Advanced shipping options are available at an extra cost and will include a label for return.
- After buying $700 of junk from them they want to charge me to make it right? or I could return it to the store for a swap but i have to take down all my cameras and mounts that I just put up drive 25 miles one way to the store and back so I took the drive and yes everything was great UNTILL I tried to go threw the setup all again and what do you know had a another camera do the same thing out of the 4 so I didn't wast my time with netgear !!!!! I called best buy and they were great at trying to help they switched a camera with by bad one and bought 2 more brackets to hang them up,and mad and upset I blew it off and took my losses but thought it was all good now NO IT WASN'T! got home put up 2 cameras and brackets and notice a second camera kicked off after two more hours playing with it it continued to kick off with no power. Got to say I have tried everything to love these cameras I even pre order a (Arlo go camera) Im only 3 days in and it looks like I have to make the third trip 25 miles one way Hope this helps all of my bad luck OR IS IT?

Day 4 with still one camera that shuts off,after reading for hours last night got one more thing to try. I will take the security system down and relocate to a another residence just to be sure a fourth camera is not having interference with any other device in my home if that don't work the final thing I will do is return it!

Update: Cameras would be just OK if I would have had no Problems and I say just ok because the HD is just ok don't think you could zoom in and get a clear pic of the intruder or details, let's say tattoo,rings,watches,never tried license plate but it is just HD and not 1080p and I found no way during playback to pause and then zoom in, I had to zoom in while it was playing and then pause it and move the pic around until i found the object i wanted to see.They will not allow you to watch it live from the Netgear base and they won't give you a password to the wifi base. It has to go thru the internet to the cloud storage and back to you to your phone or pc,laptop,tablet and the more people that are using that connection the longer it takes to see it live. plus another factor is the distance the camera is away from the base, I noticed the farther away a camera is from the base the longer it took to see it live.I walk out to about a 100 yards and yes it worked which was awesome but it was 20 min delay and i was seeing freeze frames, the closer i got the better it got, around the house 100 feet was not too bad.night vision,if a light is on the a person it whitens them out,might be a setting for that that you can schedule only at night but i had a problem setting a schedule for a late PM to early AM setting, it said i was overlapping times but was new in that area. The noise detection was very good it even picks up every loud car on the road if it's aimd that way and if notification is set up it went off a lot thru the night, it was picking it up 50 yards from the street .you can plug in USB storage hard drive into it and it will format it,so it will have to be a new one or one you don't mind losing anything saved on it and unplug it and move to another USB to be viewed. I did not do this but was about to because i think it would record video closer to live time due to not going to the cloud first,not 100% positive about that. The battery is great but will drain faster the more your kids and dog runs outside and the distance away from the base,you have to climb up and down a ladder and take it down to recharge it or run out a cord and charge it where it is,thought i seen they were coming out with a power cord for it, but then you should just get a wired system from the start! So why not just make a over sized battery that could be hidden in the soffit or ran just inside a outbuilding without power to continue to provide the wireless system we need it the first place,just a thought:) I did return mine due to lack of customer care,wanting me to pay them for shipping for something they sold me that didn't work,but again its funny to get two systems that had bad cameras, and i did try it in at another location with a new connection to see if it made a difference but still had the same results so to be fair on a review I will change my rating from one star to 3 because I feel its a OK system and with everyone giving reviews that they will continue to improve the technology and hopefully allow you to upgrade you current system instead of making customers purchase a whole new system.
