Bought a house with cameras installed. Not sure if they’re pro or pro 2. How can I get them to work? From research, owner did not leave a base just cameras around perimeter of house. Can I buy something to get them to work or do I need to take them down?

Yes.... pull the cameras down and remove the batteries as they are prob flat dead ( from not having a base )

You would need to buy a base and camera kit ( one camera if you have more than 4 , as for the Basic free account, you can have a total of 5 cameras ) I would recommend a model 4000 base unit which will work with bot Pro and Pro2 cameras.

You would have to recharge the old cameras and if totally flat they may not take a charge the first time; use the new cable and ac adapter to charge or buy a charge tube accessory

Then if they charge, you set up the new base and camera, then add the additional cameras up to 5.

PS, the easy way to tell a Pro from a Pro2... the Pro has a black face and black bezel while the Pro2 has a black face and white bezel ( if there are 4 batteries in side then it is an Arlo HD )
