I bought a power cord to have one of my Pro or Pro 2 on constant power to see if it will work in sub zero temps. They do indeed work when in cold temps with the battery removed. However they do not work if I leave the battery in camera. Anyone have a solution to this or is that just the way it is?

What do you mean by it doesn't work if the battery is left in? The charger will run the camera either way but will only charge if the battery is warm enough (>32F/0C). That's normal.

Sorry, I cannot watch live view when temp gets to cold with battery in and charger plugged in. But with battery removed and powered I could watch live when -7.

Assuming you mean -7F, that would seem to imply that there's an interaction between the battery and camera at camera cut-off temps. This is the first I've heard of such an interaction so good catch!
