Batteries won’t charge after 1 use

I’ve had the Arlo Pro 2 wireless camera system for about 18months now and have gone through 3 batteries per camera & I have 4 cameras. I just ordered batteries a free months ago and put them in 2 cameras. Now they won’t charge and the ones I just pulled out of the cameras won’t charge. Seems like a SCAM to me that wireless batteries stop working over & over. It’s too expensive and terrible on the environment.
