Having a problem with my firmware update.

My cameras were not letting me go live. So I noticed a firmware update notification. Clicked on that then hit update. Everything worked after that. Hours later same thing happened. The firmware update says its1.17.1.2_983_100e8e1. But it looks like I've seen more recent updates. Also read that VMB3500r4 is obsolete. Any suggestions on what to do now?

Thanks Mike

1.18.0.3_1036_d554faf is current firmware for that base.  https://community.arlo.com/t5/Firmware-Release-Notes/Arlo-Base-Station-VMB3500-1-18-0-3-1036-d554faf...

One option might be to do a factory reset on the base:  https://kb.arlo.com/1057976/How-can-I-reset-my-Arlo-SmartHub-or-Base-Station

Arlo isn't making them any more (and likely isn't making your cameras either).  And the base won't accept newer cameras or the video doorbells.

But Arlo is continuing to support the older kit, and still is providing regular firmware updates.

If you do decide to upgrade:  All the current products require a subscription to get cloud storage.  They no longer offer the free 7-day cloud storage you have now.
