Hello everyone,

My Arlo wire free and base are working fine when connected on my internet box at home.

However, it is not working at work.

The base is connected to our switch and our laptop is connected to same switch. We are on the same network / VLAN.

The base is connected to internet according to Internet LED.

Camera is synchronised to the base according to Camera LED.

But we can't see any stream on arlo.netgear.com on from the laptop

Could you please advise ?

Regards

Armand

Are you just trying to view the cameras at home from a work network or are you trying to see them when the system is connected to the work network?  You may have indicated this but it's not clear to me.

If the latter, what are the base LEDs showing?  If the former, IT has to open ports 80, 123 and 443 to arlo.netgear.com for you to get to the Arlo servers.

Hello Jguerdat,

The system is connected to the work network. All the ports are open on the firewall.

The 3 LED were green as expected.

What do you recommend for Chrome / Flash ?

Without being there and being able to try things, it's hard to say.  How do you know the ports are open?  A stary possibility that someone posted some time ago is that Arlo uses SSL on port 80, IIRC, which is non-standard usage.  I'm no network guru so can't explain how to fix that with IT.

For Chrome, enable Flash from Chrome Settings:

Advanced, Privacy and Security, Content Settings, Flash.

Enable Flash for at least arlo.netgear.com

Thank you for these details.

About the port 80, we could try to telnet this port with the arlo server IP address if someone knows it 🙂

I'll let you know if I have any luck.

The response to a quick ping, nslookup or traceroute to arlo.netgear.com would give you the answer.  There are various Amazon AWS servers in use so what I'm using may not be what you are.
