Arlo pro motion detection outdoors

My outdoor cameras will not detect motion unless the subject is directly in front of the camera and within 15 ft. I am very disappointed. My inside cameras work fine.

The max range for people and the Pro is about 24 ft.....

but,positioning and how the movement is is important too.

Best if motion is across field of view vs straight on.

I've tried every available angle on both of my outside cameras. I read in another thread that these are infrared sensors and I'm beginning to think that they won't work when the ambient temperature is higher than body temperature.

Camera position can be a factor in motion detection performance. It can sometimes take some trial and error to find optimal conditions for your Arlo system.
