I was wondering if it was possible to continuously record to a local storage device, sometimes the motion detector isn't as good as it should be and I'd like to be capable to watch everything just in case of anything going wrong.

Not really...these cameras are designed as "motion detect THEN record" system as most run on batteries....

 

The Q camera ( indoor only ) will record 24/7 with the CVR option ( a paid expense )
