I currenlty have a couple of the original Arlo cameras, and am trying to decide if it would be worth it to upgrade one of them (the one outside my front door) to an Arlo Pro. Having two way audio would be nice, but I'm more interested if I'll see much of a performance improvement with the new camera. I still get quite a bit of lag either when trying to view the live feed from my camera, and I also get false alarm motion notifications due to either birds/leaves/insects flying in front of the camera. Does the Arlo Pro improve on either of these at all, or is it just mainly the two way audio and recharable battery? Also, other than missing out on the local storage, would using an Arlo Pro with my original Arlo base station cause me to miss out on any new features and/or performance improvements?

The response of the PRO is very much improved... lag from trigger event is less than 1/4 the time now with the dual PIR sensors ..also has a bit of buffer to record right after the trigger event internally.
The Pro is fully compatible with the older base ( running one that way now ), all you loose is the local record and siren ( as they are built into the new base )
Morse is faster than texting!

I have the old base unit but I would like the siren, what is losing local record? So the new camera has a rechargeable battery but I still have to buy new or different rechargeables for the old camera? Is the new camera really worth it? Picture or night vision better. I get blurryness on my old zoom.
