Hello

 

I purchased my Arlo Pro with the base station 2 years ago. It has recorded at the normal distance but all of a sudden will only record when within about 3 feet. We haven't moved it at all. It has not been touched in 2 years.

I cleaned the camera.

I took the battery out and reset both the base station and the camera.

I put the sensitivity up to 100. 

I do not have any options to change the range on it. 

There are no available updates.

I have tried moving the camera around in different positions. 

 

I have tried all options I could find.

 

Can anyone give me any other suggestions?

The camera motion utility located in the camera settings is for testing. Use this to prove the motion sensor is working, you get a amber light when motion is detected. Range is 25ft when walking across field of view.

The operation to trigger is located in the mode page for the mode selected and contains rules for each camera to set sensitivity for motion and audio events as well as what actions are taken.

It might be worth cleaning the face of the camera - it's possible that some dirt is blocking the PIR sensors.
