Arlo Pro motion detection very intermittent. Sensitivity set to 100 and cleaned camera.

Arlo Pro camera is about a year old and motion detection is very intermittent. Sensitivity set to 100 and cleaned camera but doesn’t help. Any suggestions?

Up to date on all firmware. It mysteriously is working fine now.

Have you seen a change, or has the camera also had intermittent detection?  Also, does the camera have a skin installed on it?  

 

Note that if it is the camera hardware, then the warranty is one year.  So if you are close to the end of the warranty period you should contact support.  https://www.arlo.com/en-us/support/contact.aspx

The cameras do have skins on them. I opened a ticket with Arlo. Very frustrating. Deleted and reinstalled the app to see if that would help. Cameras worked all morning picking up a squirrel several times. Then did not pick up the mail delivery but got the Amazon delivery.

Noticed the system version is 2.12.1 (1909) dated 12/20/19. Wondering if the issue is an update.

Also, motion seems to be fine but very intermittent on the alerts and recording.

Hey CS23,

 

Try to remove the battery from your Arlo Pro camera and re-insert it back in to see if that helps.

 

We also recently released a new firmware update for the Arlo Base Station for VMB4000 and VMB4500. If you have one of these Base Stations, try to update the firmware and see if that helps. You can learn more about the firmware updates here:
