My two Arlo cameras worked well for the first two weeks.  After that the cameras alarmed multiple times to the point that even turning the sensitivity and volume control did NOT help.  Then the cameras were sending alerts even when they were programmed to be on.  My questions that I can't seem to find answers to is there a better place to have the cameras mounted?  I purchased these at Best Buy and went to a Best Buy that I was near and they nor the Geek Squad were able to give me any answers.  Here are some questions: will a motion detector light set the cameras off and if so what is the right place to move the camera, will a wind chime mounted 50-75 feet away from the camera make it send alerts, and most of all where or who can I go to to talk to a live person for answers.  When I called the Arlo number I talked to someone who wanted to take over my computer to fix the problem.

Not normally.  The cameras trigger on infrared, not visible light.

Probably not but you can adjust the sensitivity to the sound if it does manage to cause a trigger.

Then you didn't call Netgear.  I don't know where and why folks are getting thses numbers but if you use the links here, such as the Contact Support link at the bottom of these pages, you get the right place.
