okay so i have a question... and before your immediate answer is "it's not supported" yes i read the forums and i wish I had earlier because i bought the night hawk router and tried setting up my arlo pro cameras but couldn't find the arlo option in my net gear night hawk app that comes with the router installation..

That being said.. It still worked ODDLY enough... all my cameras were synced with my arlo base station originally .... then instead of buying a seperate base station i bought the nighthawk above (a few days ago ) I setup my home network SSID and password and clicked the sync button on the cameras and the router.... and stopped when i couldn't find the app to add arlo app in nighthawk setup.

This morning when i woke up  and went to work. I got an alert on my arlo that there was motion... etc... and throught the day working normally... but I just realized I NEVER RESET MY CAMERAS OR BASE STATION and resyncd them.... i took a closer look and the cameras are syncd with my Night Hawk router...

now the question ... should i leave them as is? it's somehow working and the signal strenght is good for all cameras.. and in my personal opinion buying the nighthawk for about the same price as base station is a MUCH BETTER deal.... but I only have a few days to return this router... if suddenly it stops working i'll have to buy another base station and i will have wasted money... any advice? ....and yes before you ask my nighthawk does have the latest firmware

Also Just a side note..

Arlo / Netgear  & developers ... I get you want to have more support and therefore want users to buy more base stations.. but it's Much easier and user friendly to have the cameras connect to home network or to allow users to extend their arlo networks with repeaters etc... and have software that secures and manages the devices rather than the current method of having a sync button and not having the passwords for base stations etc... .

just saying... SECURITY BY OBSCURITY IS NOT NECESSAIRLY A GOOD THING.

@ArloTester

I don't know about your specific model of new router, but I have changed routers several times and Arlo has been very good about automatically picking up the changes without me having to reset my base stations or re-syncing my cameras. If everything seems to be working as it should, you should be fine with this setup.
