Arlo Pro When I turn "siren on" thru my app or online, it keeps going

Hi,

When I turn "siren on" thru my app or online, it keeps going, I make sure that no one is in front of cam (so no motion is dected) and still siren keeps going on and on and on.

It may stop after 3 minutes but having siren on (unnecessarily) defeats the purpose.

My expectation was siren will turn on ONLY WHEN motion is detected.

Let me know if I need to tweak any setting or something is wrong.

How are you turning the siren on - using the Turn Siren On button in the Devices tab or through a mode/rule? The former simply stays on until you turn it off while the latter can be set for both volume as well as duration (1-5 minutes).  I'm guessing you haven't checked your modes so use the Mode tab, click on your base and check out the Armed mode.  All settings are in there.  While you can modify that mode, it would be better to create your own custom mode(s) so you have complete control.

Yes, turing the siren on "manually" (not through a mode) does exactly that.

Turns it on

The only reason you would do that is to test it or alert someone if you saw an intruder in the live mode.

Otherwise you would never need to turn it on.
