Earlier this week our Arlo Pro (VMW-4030) cameras (5 of them) would not turn off in the Arlo app, they would continue to record. I removed the 5 Arlo Pro cameras from the Arlo app. I attempted to reconnect them and I get the message on the Arlo app: No Arlo device found for each camera. I removed the Arlo base (WMB 4000) from the Arlo app. I reinstalled the Arlo base via the Arlo app and the base was found. I then tried to reconnect all 5 Pro cameras and each time the app would say device was not found. I have done a factory reset on the base and the issue of the cameras not being found is still there. I purchased a new base (VMB4540) and the same issue is still present, base found but not the cameras. I tried the above steps on my iPhone and PC and each time the cameras are not found. I also pushed the sync button on the base and the sync button on the camera and the blue light on the camera would blink slow and then fast I and I thought the camera had paired with the base but the camera does not show up in the Arlo app.

I have on the forum that others have experienced the same issue recently. I have not paid for Arlo subscription and I am hoping that I don’t have to start a subscription to get my cameras back online.

Update 10/13/24: Spent over an hour with Arlo technical support. We did a factory reset on both bases and the Cameras still are not being recognized by Arlo app. My case has been elevated and they will get back to me in 24 – 48 hours. I have tried installing all 5 Arlo Pro cameras by themselves and none will connect to the Arlo and none were listed in the device section.

While at Costco today I purchased the Arlo Essential XL Outdoor 2nd generation camera 3-pack. No issue with the installation and the new cameras are up and running.

Just a thought - when manually syncing, be sure to only briefly press the base sync button - don't hold it.
