What does it mean when the red lights light up on a camera??? Lying in bed last night, camera in bedroom, flashed all the red lights . Noticed this only happens when I log in and live view the camera. (Infared I assume)

Only my wife and I have access to the system. The camera (obviously) was not in motion detection.

Does this mean anything?? Is someone else logging in??

I doubt, and hope its not the latter. It was a very quick on and off flash, and we noticed it twice.

Before you ask the reason for a camera in the bedroom, is not kinky. That is the window where we were broken into, twice. So only reason it is in there.

If someone can shed some light on this, it will put my wifes mind at rest. Especially if it comes from a moderator.

Yes, the red " lights " are the IR illuminators coming on ( night vision) .

the fact is I be seen mine on a camera blink of,off for a sec two.

Do I think some one is spying, no...could be the base updating or loosing connection for a short moment. I would reset the camera and or remove it and bring back as new( remove device ).

Two things tho...

1 if in doubt about password...change it

2 there is a privacy setting to turn off cam , esp if you do share, while in bedroom

( settings ) ...but can only be done by the primary owner

Thanks for response. I am sure thats what it is. Just a bit of paranoia, after recent events. Good news is we only have to live in this house for another 5 months, then we can take our camera system to our brand new house.

Still welcome official responses.

" there is a privacy setting to turn off cam , "  Are you just referring to where you disarm the camera or some other "privacy" setting.  I have not come across this and maybe I missed it or your just referring to actually turning off (disarming) the camera (?)

The On/Off switch for each camera can be found in Settings. That's the privacy switch.
