Arlo Pro - Do I need a home box for using at a stables without need for an alarm?

I have borrowed an Arlo pro and am currently using it at my stables, it does what I need to do so far as I view the recordings on my phone. I would ideally like 2 cameras but have no need for an alarm etc. Do I need a home box? Or can I just buy 2 cameras and use it with the app? 

What is the benefit of the box you seem to get with all the kits?

Any of the wireless cameras require a base station ("home box"). You aren't forced to use the siren - that's just a setting.

If you have power and good enough WiFi in your stable, you could use the Arlo Q cameras without a base station since they connect directly to your WiFi.
