Arlo Pro Charging Station do you have to remove the batteries once they are fully charged?

With the charging station, do you have to remove the batteries once they are fully charged or can they stay charging until the batteries need to be swapped out?

They could remain installed in the tube but I remove them just to free up desk space so I can put everything away.
