What type of port is on the camera? micro usb?
If I decided to run wired instead of battery, am I able to plug in the charging cable onto the cameras to run power forever?

Yes, micro USB. Running ng them powered, whether with or without the battery, is allowed. Leaving the battery in would help with power outages as long as your modem, router and base are all protected by a UPS/battery backup like mine. I happen to use a 750VA UPS which should last several hours.

Without the battery in , any USB adapter that puts out 5v at 1.5a with work fine...
With the battery in you need a dual voltage adapter ( qualcom ) which outputs 5v and 9v ( to charge battery )

Also, not a USB3.0 cable which is too wide due to the extra connector.
