I have 3 Arlo Pro Cameras and one of them has an issue where it detects motion no matter how low I change the sensitivity. The camera is point to my front yard and street, and is located about 25' deep on my property. Last night I set the motion sensitivity at 1 and this morning I still got notifications of cars driving past my house. At this point I'm getting an average of 30-45 notifications and recordings a day which is somewhat annoying, but it's forcing me to recharge the battery once a week which is the bigger annoyance. Any suggestions?

There are several factors involved in this behavior:

1) The motion sensors work best when movement is side to side across the face of the camera. Therefore, passing cars will be more likely to trigger a recording.

2) The normal range of the motion sensors are about 25 feet, so again, the cars are too close in the current camera positioning.

3) Cars and trucks emit an infinitely stronger IR signal than people or animals, so you need to position the cameras so that videos are not triggered by vehicles.

The only solution that I know of is proper positioning of the camera. We all face the same problem.

Thanks for responding.  However, I have 2 other cameras lining the front of my house, so they're at almost the exact same distance, and those cameras aren't picking up the same motions.  These other 2 cameras at set at 80 sensitivity.  The camera in question is set to 1 and still picks up more motion than the other 2 combined.

Are you setting sensitivity in your modes and rules and then saving? The motion detection test is just a test.
